Texas State Railroad - a Real Treat
I rode the train for the first time yesterday.  I have to say that it was a pleasure. This was the triumphant return trip - the first to run from Palestine since the funding was cut in December.  Wildflowers were in bloom; cattle were grazing; children were well-behaved and happy.  Really lots of wholesome enjoyment.  It will be a shame to close the doors of such a treasure.  Please support the Texas State Railroad for as long as we have it to enjoy.  Texans deserve the opportunity to run this train for generations to come.

WOW
We can only say that the last couple of months have been phenomenal.  We've met so many new friends and have had such experiences to include our new well being dug, the ballroom interior completion, the B&B full nearly every weekend, lots of family and friends visiting for spring break -- we could go on and on.  Thanks to everyone who has been by to say hello during this hectic time.  We hope to have a celebration for our good fortune very soon!!
