When meeting new folks we are most often asked - Why Palestine? Here's why:
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas - so I'm a native Texan. But thanks to my older brother, Gil, I
lived in Virginia between 1993 and 2003 and fell in love with the rural countryside. Verdant pastures, rolling hills,
clean air, tall trees, and plentiful vineyards drove this love. Meeting Simon there at a ballroom dance competition
was the icing on the cake. Once we decided that we were really going to chase our dream in the United States, we wanted
to be close to family in a place that looked and felt like the Virginia that brought us together. Goes without
saying that every Texan wants to come back home someday, and Palestine is the closest thing to Virginia we've found in Texas.
It's beautiful here. My family visits us often (thank you for that). The people here are fantastic. Palestine
is a wonderful place to be -- we just need to work on that plentiful vineyard thing (thank goodness for St. Jane) -- and we're
committed to making it even better.
